Three years ago the Manhasset Tower Foundation donated a classroom set of Chromebooks to every Secondary School ELA classroom. This donation greatly increased the time students could devote to the writing process and allowed for more collaborative feedback from teachers through the use of Google Docs and Google Classroom. Thanks to the generosity of the Tower Foundation, the Peer Responder Mentor Program has been issued a complete Chromebook cart and printer. Providing portable web-browsing, word-processing and light computing, the Chromebooks have greatly enriched Peer Responding sessions by improving the educational interaction between the High School Peer Responder Mentors and their Middle School clients.
