What is Key Club?:Manhasset Key Club is a student-led, high school organization. Key Club is an international organization sponsored by Kiwanis and typically has over 150 members each year. The club was built on the concept of caring, thus the purpose is community service. Members are asked to perform a required number of service hours by participating in pancake breakfast, donation collections, conducting food drives, and many other fundraisers. Key Club is the club for those who are interested in making a difference. Our members make the world a better place through service. In doing so, they grow as individuals and as leaders by answering the call to lead, summoning the courage to engage and developing the heart to serve.
Who can be apart of Key Club?:
Open to students in grades: 9-12
Meetings:
Third Wednesday of the Month. Meetings are in person in the HSG at 7:45am.
Are there requirements to stay a member of Key Club?:
Yes, the requirements are that you must attend a minimum of 6 out of the 9 meetings. You cannot miss more than 3 meetings. You are also required to complete a mandatory 3 Key Club events for community service. This community service must be a Key Club event run by the club or recognized as an event by the club advisors.
Is there a way Key Club members get information on community service events?
You must sign up using QR code which will lead you to google form, at FIRST meeting. Once you sign up on google form, you will be added to canvas to have access to all Key Club information! This code will be provided at the first meeting or can be found on flyers around the building at the start of the school year ( September-November only).New enrollment starts in September and closes in November.
