    Insurance Option
Now that our 1:1 device program sends many Chromebooks out of buildings on a regular basis, it is likely that there may be greater damage to these devices than when they were housed within classrooms and did not go home.  All parents signed a Student/Parent laptop agreement (Policy 8330-E ) agreeing to take responsibility for the cost of repair or replacement if the device is damaged, lost, or stolen.

    Sample costs:
    Broken Speakers: Approx upto $50
    Broken Camera/Mic: Approx upto $50
Damaged LCD with Touch: Approx upto $130
Lost Chromebook: $160- $360 (depending on the year)

The cost for the 2023-2024 school year's (and next summer) insurance coverage through the Worth Avenue Group is $40

Note: If you have already signed up for Chromebook insurance and your child is slated to get a Chromebook refresh (5th and 9th graders), we will make sure that the new asset tag is connected to the insurance plan.

Q Which model Chromebook do I have?
A You no longer need the exact model number of your Chromebook to complete the insurance form. When you click the link, there is only one option listed. Select that option.

Q What is the Property of Manhasset Asset Tag?
A It is a number that is placed on a sticker on the bottom of a student-issued Chromebook.
