    We are a school of great pride and a tradition that seeks to have all of its students reach their full potential. With approximately 1700 students spanning grades 7-12, we offer a wide array of courses in both the middle and high school years.
    Our course offerings, extracurricular activities, athletics and a host of services and programs, are outlined throughout our website. Please peruse our website and get to know us.     EOC Box
    The EOC needs your help!  Please make donations of new school supplies for the children of our local EOC.  Such supplies include: markers, crayons, pencils, pens, construction paper, printed paper, rulers, erasers, glue, or any other school-related supplies.  The donation box is located in Dr. Schlanger's office.  Your donations are greatly appreciated!  Please remember the EOC the next time you go shopping!

    October 18, 2017

      

    • The Student Senate will be sponsoring a drive to collect materials for the victims of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico.  Flyers with the list of materials will be distributed throughout the school and boxes will be set up in numerous locations around the school to collect materials such as: batteries, first aid supplies, diapers, baby food, etc.
    • Math Honor Society applications are now available in the Math Lab.  They must be picked up by October 20th and are due back no later than October 27th.  See Mr. Rupp or Mrs. Tallarine if you have any questions.
    • Attention all current Math Honor Society members:  As you approach the midway point of quarter one, please make sure you are keeping up with the mandatory three periods of tutoring per quarter.  The new tutoring binder is in the Math Lab.
    • Help "Stomp out Bullying" by purchasing braelets in the H.S. Auditorium lobby today, October 18th before school and they will also be on sale in the Cafeteria during all lunch periods today as well.  Bracelets are $2 each.
    • Attention all Science Olympiaders in grades 10-12:  There will be an important Science Olympiad meeting after school today at 3:15pm in Room 129.  All Science Olympiad members in grades 10-12 should attend.  Important documents will be distributed.
    • Attention all high school girls interested in  trying out for basketball this year.  There will be a mandatory meeting held on Tuesday, October 17th at 3:15pm in Room 141.  Please make every effort to attend. It will be short but important!
    • PINK OUT is coming!  T-shirts can be purchased for $10 during lunch periods today, October 18th & tomorrow, October 19th in the cafeteria and on Friday, October 20th before school in front of the gym and in the middle school commons.  Wear your t-shirts on Friday, Ocotber 20th to PINK OUT the school and raise money to find a cure!
    • The French Honor Society will have their October meeting Thursday, October 19th at 7:40am in Room 174.  There will be a presentation by the honor society's Vice President.  
    • Attention all 7th-12th grade students:  If you are interested in joining the Fencing team, there will be a meeting today, October 18th at 3:30pm in Room 122.  All students who were on the team last year MUST attend this meeting.
    • Attention Seniors:  If you completed your required 15 hours of community service over the summer, all paperwork must be submitted to Mrs. Steindam by the end of September.
    • Community Service: It's time to start thinking about community service.  Please see the bulletin board outside the social studies office for volunteer opportunities and other important information.  Also, visit Mrs. Steindam in the social studies office if you have any questions.

  • Congratulations to Lauren Chen for once again becoming an All County golfer.  She will now go on to represent Manhasset and Section 8 in the state tournament at Bethpage.
