    We are a school of great pride and a tradition that seeks to have all of its students reach their full potential. With approximately 1700 students spanning grades 7-12, we offer a wide array of courses in both the middle and high school years.

    The EOC needs your help!  Please make donations of new school supplies for the children of our local EOC.  Such supplies include: markers, crayons, pencils, pens, construction paper, printed paper, rulers, erasers, glue, or any other school-related supplies.  The donation box is located in Dr. Schlanger's office.  Your donations are greatly appreciated!  Please remember the EOC the next time you go shopping!

    • Math Honor Society applications are now available in the Math Lab.  They must be picked up by October 20th and are due back no later than October 27th.  See Mr. Rupp or Mrs. Tallarine if you have any questions. 
    • Attention all Science Olympiaders, grades 7 through 9.  There will be a brief Science Olympiad meeting Tuesday, October 24th after school at 3:15pm in Room 129.  All members, grades 7 through 9 should attend.
    • There is a Best Buddies Chapter Meeting Tuesday, October 24th at 3:15pm in Room 108.  Please join them for their Halloween Match Party!
    • The Manhasset High School Annual Community Service Fair is this Wednesday, October 25th from 10:00am through 1:00pm. in the HS Auditorium lobby.  Students can stop by during lunch or free period to learn about great community service opportunities.  Seniors: don't forget that you must complete 15 hours in order to graduate so stop by the fair.
    • The Feminism Club will be hosting their first movie night this Thursday, October 26th at 6:30pm in the MS Media Center.  The movie will be Coraline.  Free admission to anyone dressed up as a feminist icon.  Food will be provided.
    • The first Manhasset Bowling Team meeting will take place this Thursday, October 26th at 3:15pm in Room 204.  All students who are interested should attend.  Please have your physicals turned in by November 1st.
    • Attention all 7th & 8th grade students who wish to run for a students government office:  There will be a mandatory meeting on Monday, October 30th at 7:40am in Room 266.  At this meeting they will go over the different positions you can run for along with what the election procedures will be.  If you have any questions or concerns, please see Mr. Shapiro.
    • Attention Seniors:  If you completed your required 15 hours of community service over the summer, all paperwork must be submitted to Mrs. Steindam by the end of September.
    • Community Service: It's time to start thinking about community service.  Please see the bulletin board outside the social studies office for volunteer opportunities and other important information.  Also, visit Mrs. Steindam in the social studies office if you have any questions.

In The Spotlight

  • Congratulations to Lauren Chen for once again becoming an All County golfer.  She will now go on to represent Manhasset and Section 8 in the state tournament at Bethpage.
