ESSAY PROMPT: HOW CAN I LEAD MY SCHOOL AND COMMUNITY TO BECOME A BULLY-FREE PLACE FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH AUTISM AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES?
ALL NINTH THROUGH TWELFTH GRADE STUDENTS ENROLLED AT PUBLIC OR PRIVATE SCHOOLS IN QUEENS, NASSAU, OR SUFFOLK ARE ELIGIBLE.
(Any past contestants must submit “different” “new” essays, which cannot be similar to their previous submissions.)
FIRST PRIZE, $4000, SECOND PRIZE, $3000, THIRD PRIZE, $2000
The essays, typewritten, double-spaced must be 400-500 words, submitted by the United States Postal Service, Fed Ex, or United Parcel Service postmarked by no later than May 1st, 2020. (Please provide on a separate cover page of essay: Name of student, grade of student, home address, e-Mail address, home telephone, school address, school telephone, name of a faculty advisor.) Awards will be made at a presentation event at The Family Center For Autism by no later than June 5, 2020
No essays will be accepted, postmarked after May 1st, 2020.
