GPO Insurance Plan Manhasset

Insurance Option
Now that our 1:1 device program sends many Chromebooks out of buildings on a regular basis, it is likely that there may be greater damage to these devices than when they were housed within classrooms and did not go home.  All parents signed a Student/Parent laptop agreement (Policy 8330-E ) agreeing to take responsibility for the cost of repair or replacement if the device is damaged, lost, or stolen.

Sample costs:
Broken Speakers: Approx upto $50
Broken Camera/Mic: Approx upto $50
Damaged LCD with Touch: Approx upto $130
Lost Chromebook: $160- $360 (depending on the year)

The cost for the 2025-2026 school year's (and next summer) insurance coverage through the Worth Avenue Group is $40

To Enroll:    The enrollment period has ended (October 31st, 2025). Thank you.

(Parents/Guardians of K, 5th, and 9th graders, please sign up after receiving a new CB for the 25-26 school year so you can enter the newest asset tag). Please note that insurance does not cover the loss of a device or charger, unless there is a police report (stolen). Thank you.

Q What is the Property of Manhasset Asset Tag?
A It is a number that is placed on a sticker on the bottom of a student-issued Chromebook.
