Damaged, Lost or Stolen Chromebook

If a district-issued Chromebook is damaged, lost or stolen, please notify the Instructional Technology Department as soon as possible. Follow the steps below for the appropriate situation.

If Your Chromebook Is Damaged

  1. Email MPSITHelp@ManhassetSchools.org with the subject line: Damaged Chromebook – [Student Last Name].
  2. An IT Technician will reply with instructions on where to bring the Chromebook for repair.
  3. If the repair takes more than an hour, a loaner Chromebook will be provided.
If the damage warrants replacement, costs may be charged to the family. Consider the district's insurance option.

If Your Chromebook Is Lost

Email MPSITHelp@ManhassetSchools.org with the subject line: Lost Chromebook – [Student Last Name]. Include your name, school, and the asset tag if available.

If Your Chromebook Is Stolen

Email MPSITHelp@ManhassetSchools.org with the subject line: Stolen Chromebook – [Student Last Name]. Include any details you have and the asset tag if available.
