Degrees and Certifications:
Welcome to la classe d'italiano! Throughout the academic year, students will be involved in a wide range of differentiated activities that will conform to the NYS, ACTFL, and Common Core Learning Standards. The instructional methods will be largely student-oriented, encouraging participation and higher-order thinking.
There are many areas to the website that I know you will find great value in. My goal is to make the website not just a tool for me, as the teacher, to connect with parents, but also a learning tool and resource for the students.

Please join me in congratulating juniors Kyra McLaughlin and Alexis (Gemma) Powers who were selected as recipients of the IACE Summer Study Scholarship Program in Narni, Italy. These two outstanding students were among 20 others chosen across the tri-state area based on an Italian language multimedia project discussing the influence of the Internet and social media on Italian and American culture. They received an all-expense paid (aside from airfare), two-week-long, study abroad experience in Italy, during which they had the opportunity to study the Italian language, travel throughout the country and immerse themselves in the Italian culture.
