Symphonic Band meets for rehearsal 2nd period every day

Wind Ensemble meets for rehearsal 8th period every day

Both ensembles perform three concerts annaully. Placement into Symphonic Band is by recommendation of the Middle School Band Director. Placement into the Wind Ensemble is by audition and or teacher recommendation which occurs around the end of February or the beginning of March. Students auditioning for Wind Ensemble are asked to prepare a minimum level V solo from the NYSSMA Manual. Selections will be based on need, musicians ability and students past attendance at rehearsals and rotations. Other performances can include but are not limited to; a spring trip, nyssma majors etc. Extra performances are usually decided the previous school year and can be found on the school calendar and on this website.
