Welcome to Manhasset's High School Literature Club!
What is the mission of the Literature Club?
The mission of the Literature Club is to encourage students to engage in insightful discussions about social issues through literature. Students will expand their social horizions and gain a greater understanding of others, as well as improve their critical reading skills, by being exposed to a variety of authors and genres. The Literature Club is open to all students in grades 9-12 regardless of reading ability or affinity.
Typically we read either a chapter of a book, a short story, or a collection of poems, all under 20 pages; however, we are open to all types of literature including Manga/graphic novels and critical essays. All of the literature will be selected based upon member recommendations unless otherwise stated!
