Manhasset Broadcasting Company Featured on LI News Radio
On Jan. 11, members of the Manhasset Broadcasting Company team were featured during the "Spotlight On Long Island Schools" program that airs weekly on 103.9 FM LI News Radio.
The team of faculty and students discussed the origin of the program, as well as how community support has facilitate its growth and success, giving more students the opportunity to get involved and learn valuable skills, including collaboration, writing and adherence to deadlines.
Students Lucine Ciamician (News Director), Alexia Mellis (Executive Producer) and Chloe Pusey (Creative Director) shared their favorite parts of the program, biggest challenges, collective goals and how the Broadcast pathway prepared them for the future.
Director of English, Reading and Libraries Brendan McGowan, along with Club Moderators Kathleen Dreyer and Margot Varrichio highlighted the school's Broadcasting pathway, internship and career opportunities, as well as the exciting networking opportunities that are available to students in the program.
The district thanks LI News Radio and host Robert Vecchio for the opportunity to share this exciting program with members of the Long Island community.
