Science Research Students Named Finalists in JYEM Competition
The district congratulates 30 Manhasset High School students on being named finalists in the Junior Scientists and Young Explorers Meta Competition!
This highly selective research competition received over 1,370 applications from students across the U.S. and abroad. Each year the competition recognizes 30-40 projects as Finalists.
These Finalists were chosen based on the novelty and creativity of their submitted research papers and supplementary materials. JYEM is organized by students and alumni from Harvard, Yale, MIT, Cornell and other leaders in academic research, and it has become a respected platform for showcasing emerging talent in STEM and interdisciplinary research.

Select Finalists will move on to present at the JYEM Expo to compete for category awards, special honors and monetary prizes. In addition, two students will be selected for prestigious summer internships at top-tier universities. Students will be notified soon if they are selected to advance to the JYEM Expo.
