Congratulations to Colin Gibbs – 2026 National Merit Scholarship Winner

The district proudly congratulates Colin Gibbs on being selected as a 2026 National Merit Scholarship Winner, one of the nation’s most prestigious academic honors.

The National Merit Scholarship Program recognizes students for exceptional academic achievement and potential for success. Among all students who entered the 2026 competition, approximately 16,000 were named Semifinalists, representing the highest-scoring students in each state.

To advance in the competition, Semifinalists were required to meet rigorous criteria to become Finalists, including submitting a comprehensive scholarship application and demonstrating a consistent record of outstanding academic performance, leadership and involvement.

From a distinguished pool of more than 15,000 Finalists, approximately 6,930 students nationwide have been selected to receive National Merit Scholarships.

This outstanding accomplishment reflects Colin's dedication, perseverance and commitment to excellence. We are incredibly proud of this achievement and look forward to all that Colin will accomplish in the future.
