Manhasset Community Unites for Spirited Homecoming Celebration
The autumn sun shined brightly overhead as the Manhasset community came together to celebrate its inimitable spirit during Manhasset High School’s homecoming celebration on Oct. 18.
Led by the Manhasset High School Marching Band, the parade stepped off on Colonial Parkway with administrators, board members, community members, faculty, staff and students proudly marching down Plandome Road as supporters lined the streets to cheer them on. The air was filled with rhythm and excitement as the band kept spirits high with lively musical performances.
Adding to the energy and enthusiasm was the Manhasset Cheer Team, whose vibrant spirit could be felt from start to finish. Their cheers and routines along the parade route and throughout the game kept the crowd energized and full of school pride.
Before the official coin toss, the Kinsmen delivered a stirring performance of the National Anthem, setting a proud and patriotic tone for the day.
During halftime, the Manhasset Marching Band wowed the crowd with a powerful and dynamic musical performance, while the cheer team took to the field for an exciting halftime routine that drew loud applause from the stands. Fans were also treated to a fun field goal competition, adding a spirited and interactive touch to the celebration.
Throughout the afternoon, attendees enjoyed delicious food, shopped for Manhasset gear from Booster Club members and celebrated with classmates, family and friends.
The day concluded on a high note as the ‘Set capped off the homecoming celebration with a 35-8 victory over the Mineola Mustangs – the perfect ending to a day filled with music, pride and unmistakable Manhasset spirit.
