Manhasset High School Recognized as NYSPHSAA School of Distinction
Manhasset Public Schools is proud to announce that Manhasset High School has been named a 2025-26 School of Distinction by the New York State Public High School Athletic Association.
The School of Distinction designation is awarded to schools that demonstrate excellence in both academics and athletics. To earn this honor, every varsity team in the school must receive the NYSPHSAA Scholar-Athlete Team Award. Teams qualify for Scholar-Athlete recognition when at least 75% of athletes on the roster maintain a grade-point average of 90 or higher during their respective sports season.
This achievement reflects the dedication and hard work of Manhasset's student-athletes, coaches, teachers and families, who consistently uphold a culture of excellence on the field, court and track, as well as in the classroom.
Manhasset High School was one of only 38 schools on Long Island and 118 schools statewide to earn School of Distinction recognition for the 2025-26 school year, underscoring the district's commitment to supporting well-rounded student success and fostering achievement in every aspect of the student experience.
The district congratulates Manhasset's student-athletes, coaches and staff on this outstanding accomplishment and for continuing to exemplify the pursuit of excellence in academics and athletics.
