Parents Bring Expertise and Inspiration to Elementary School Career Day

On Nov. 15, Shelter Rock and Munsey Park held Career Day for our sixth graders where parents were invited to visit our classrooms to speak with our students about their careers.

We had a wide array of exciting and inspiring professions represented at both schools, including healthcare, law enforcement, education, finance, insurance, travel, media, public relations and more.

Prior to Career Day, students took a Career Explorer Quiz to determine which careers would interest them the most so they could attend the presentations that were the best fit to help guide their future plans.

Thank you to everyone who helped organize this incredible event, especially our spectacular school counselors Jenny Chen and Amanda Gimondo. We are also so grateful to the parents who took time out of their day to share their invaluable career insight and experience with our students.
