Manhasset Students Make Theater Magic with “Fiddler on the Roof”
The district congratulates the cast and crew of the Manhasset Theater production of "Fiddler on the Roof," who wowed audiences with four flawless performances from Nov 14-18.
The talented cast members delivered the spirited dialog and dance scenes like seasoned theatre pros, pulling the crowd from deeply emotional scenes to epic ensemble numbers that radiated with energy, emotion and excitement with ease and dexterity.
In the orchestra pit, the student musicians captured the sound and spirit of the classic soundtrack, bringing to life the everchanging mood and atmosphere of the scenes with tunefulness and pitch perfect precision.
On-stage and backstage, the crew performed their tasks seamlessly, using lights and sound to set the mood and expertly designed set pieces that make the audience believe they had been transported to Anatevka, Ukraine in 1905.
A special standing ovation goes to the students and staff who built the set and designed the costumes, turning scraps of wood and sheets of fabric into works of art that helped make this a tradition to remember for all ages.
