A Discussion on Leadership

Manhasset High School students and their parents joined the school’s Hellenic Culture Club in welcoming professor and lecturer Nikolas Katsimpras to hear him speak on today’s most pressing global issues.

Katsimpras’ resume includes serving as a lecturer at Columbia University's Negotiation and Conflict Resolution program; assistant adjunct professor at the Dispute Resolution program at CUNY, John Jay College of Criminal Justice; independent conflict analysis and resolution consultant; and a former senior fellow at the Hellenic American Leadership Council. He also holds the title of veteran officer of the Hellenic Navy, awarded by the International Institute for Humanitarian Law.

Calling on some of his interesting past experiences, Katsimpras delivered an enlightening lecture that offered much insight and reassurance regarding worldly, monumental problems. He spoke to students about the importance of taking leadership responsibilities seriously and treating others with respect while practicing civil discourse. The presentation proved to be very beneficial for adolescents who are growing up and entering the real world.
