The 1680 club aims to help students combine their passion for social studies with current events. Students spend time discussing and watching the news, researching topics of interest and planning and engaging in club discussions/debates. We work to make connections between lessons being taught in social studies courses to real world events. The 1680 club is open to both middle school and high school students. The club meets roughly about once a month – see our website for specific dates.
